Scout Manifesto

Invite Joseph along to run a session on ‘Power & Influence‘: joseph.shippam@royalgreenwichscouts.org.uk

 

The challenge will cover the following points:

Understand – Explorers will have a session lead by our District Youth Lead, on power and influence and roles they play in modern society.

Manifesto – Explorers read the Scout Manifesto, evaluate the points, and work to create their own

Advocate – Explorers will take part in a unit forum, discussing how they can improve Explorers, with District and local area. Referring into points in the Manifesto and our own thoughts.

Represent –  Explorers will attend one of the District youth hustings and put their views as well as questions to Parliamentary candidates ahead of the general election.

Safety – All activities must be safely managed. You must complete a thorough risk assessment and take appropriate steps to reduce risk. Use the safety checklist to help you plan and risk assess your activity.

 

All Scout activities should be inclusive and accessible.

HM King Charles III has been confirmed as our new Patron, a great honour for UK Scouts.

The King continues a long tradition of the monarch giving their Patronage, dating back to 1912. This was when Scouts was granted its Royal Charter and HM George V became our first Patron.
