St George’s Day Event

Please find below an invite from Terry, Lead Volunteer for Royal Greenwich District, about our upcoming St George’s Day celebrations.

Date: 23rd April 2024 Time: 6:30 PM until 7:00 PM(groups are encouraged to explore the park and organise their own activities following the parade and promise renewal)

 

Location:Eltham Park South, By the tennis court in the park

Join us as we gather to renew our promises together as a district for St George’s Day.

We’ll kick off at 6:30 PM by the tennis court, with groups parading their flags before coming together to take part in a promise renewal with all sections taking part.

Please ensure you’re in full uniform and have your group flags ready for the parade.

We look forward to seeing you there for a great evening celebrating St George’s Day!

HM King Charles III has been confirmed as our new Patron, a great honour for UK Scouts.

The King continues a long tradition of the monarch giving their Patronage, dating back to 1912. This was when Scouts was granted its Royal Charter and HM George V became our first Patron.
