Our top awards team helps explorer scout units and networkers across the district pursue top awards, and liaise with South London Scouts for managed canoeing expeditions.

Monthly top awards workshops

These take place once a month alternating between Tuesday and Wednesday. During these sessions we help get explorers and leaders over the hurdle of getting registered, logging in, setting up modules, adding evidence and actually signing off and submitting their awards. Those attending these free sessions are 90% more likely to complete their award. The dates for 23/24 are below, these all take place at Royal Greenwich District Centre, 19 Waverley CrescentPlumstead, London, SE18 2RT:

DofE and How to Register

The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award (DofE) is a voluntary, non-competitive programme of activities for anyone aged 14-24. Doing their DofE gives young people the opportunity to experience new activities or develop existing skills. Within scouting, this links directly to the chief scout’s platinum, diamond and Queen’s scout awards.

The cost of registration

  • Bronze   £25.50
  • Silver      £25.50
  • Gold       £32:50

HM King Charles III has been confirmed as our new Patron, a great honour for UK Scouts.

The King continues a long tradition of the monarch giving their Patronage, dating back to 1912. This was when Scouts was granted its Royal Charter and HM George V became our first Patron.
