1st Royal Eltham Navigate Their Way to County Torchlight Champions!
In a dazzling display of teamwork and navigational prowess, the 1st Royal Eltham Scouts emerged as the shining stars of the recent County Torchlight Competition. Skillfully navigating their way through the Kent countryside, the 1st Royal Eltham team surpassed all others, securing the coveted title of the first-ever County Torchlight Champions in South London.
The County Torchlight Competition lit up the night as Scouts and Explorers from various corners of South London embarked on an exhilarating adventure. More than just a competition, it was an opportunity for Scouts to forge new connections and revel in the spirit of camaraderie.
Maddox, a member of the 51st Royal Greenwich Sea Scouts, enthusiastically shared, “I had a blast hanging out with friends and meeting other Scouts.” The event was not just a test of skills but a celebration of togetherness.
Ignas, representing the 1st Royal Eltham Scouts, encapsulated their experience with a straightforward sentiment: “I loved everything!”

The 1st Royal Eltham Team 1 emerged victorious, showcasing exceptional navigational skills and seamless teamwork. It was also great to see teams from 8th Royal Eltham and 51st Royal Greenwich Sea Scouts there as well. Plans are already underway to make next years event even bigger and will be great to see even more Royal Greenwich Groups taking part!
