The day will start at 9:30, with a parade up from General Gordon Square to the Army Parade Ground, Scouts have been given a number places in the parade and we’d be looking for scouts and explorers to represent us! Please fill in the form at the bottom of the page with your group and the rough number of scouts you’d be able to bring. It would be ideal if we could have representation from groups from around the district.
We will also have a stand in the parade ground to promote opportunities in scouting, we will look at attracting new volunteers and also running activities for young people to take part in. We will be looking for help with this and would love it if you could join us, even for an hour or two! This would also be an ideal opportunity if your group is near Woolwich Army Barracks and would like to recruit. There’s a form below if you would like your name on the list to be added to the rota.
As well as the opportunities to take part, its also a fun day for all ages so please share amongst all the sections in your groups.
The King continues a long tradition of the monarch giving their Patronage, dating back to 1912. This was when Scouts was granted its Royal Charter and HM George V became our first Patron.
